Hi. I'm new to the site as well, based here in MD. Didn't realize that the 3 had such a following in Manila. Just curious, saan kayo bumibili ng aftermarket parts/tweaks for the 3 sa Pinas? Best regards...

These bunch of guys were great to meet and chat with. The Mazda3 is very popular over there with wait times rivaling those of when the car was new to the North American shores. Several members (teamrage, MDC and Bravoexo) had some heavily modded cars while the others were a little more on the mild side. If you ever get a chance to travel to Manila, give these guys a "head's up", they might have an EB while you are there. I only wish I was able to stay longer in Manila.

Mabuhay ang 3 sa Pinas!!! Tanong ko lang mga tsong, magkano price ng 3 dyan, sedan or hatch. Anong mga upgrades ang available jan, baka pwede nating madala dito sa US.

I used to street race jan and now medyo nag start na ako sa autocross using my 3 hatch. Medyo kulang sa hatak because of the weight but the handling is really good.

Nope, sorry to confuse you. Un lang mga upgrades ako interesado. Body kits, angel eyes, coilover springs, etc. Baka lang kasi mas mura dyan kesa dito. Walang 1.6L dito, 2.0L ang base engine and lahat ng hatch are 2.3 liter.

I've got the winning blue hatch and so far, Umnitza SRI and TWM short shifter pa lang upgrades ko.

Mas marameng upgrades tayo dito. Most of the Teamrage members have small upgrades, shift knobs, stubbies and rims. A couple have lowered their cars and added larger rims and several have some nice audio upgrades. One owner even has angel eyes installed on his hatch (Bravoexo, he's the McGuyver of the group :D) . There are only a handful of Mazda dealers in the NCR and most charge an arm and a leg for upgrades/options. When I was there this past spring I did see a nicely done up Mazda 3 sedan, but I believe it was owned by an auto accessories store.

Hi guys.

I'm new at this too. Got interested in the Mazda 3 issue 'coz my business partner and I are interested in getting the 2.0 version, and I am personally concerned with the issue i have been reading in other sites (including this one regarding WEAK AIRCONDITIONER.

Seeing that you guys are owners, can anyone please attest if this is true or have they solved that problem here in the Philippines? Are they still using the stock aircons from abroad or are they already converted to calsonics or sandens?

Please advise.

I didn't notice a weak air conditioner when I was there in May of this year. I got a lift to an EB one hot Sunday afternoon and I felt quite comfortable in his Mazda3. As a side note, I was even surprised at the ride quality while driving up EDSA (from Roxas Blvd) up to Fort Bonifacio. The weak air conditioner issues are a problem with the 2004 models since they don't have the cabin air filter option which (from what I've heard) is now standard on the 2005 and newer models.

Thanks for replying, bluntman.

It's really a concern. Especially here in the Philippines.

I'm still considering whether to get a Mazda3 or the new Europen version of theFocus, which will be arriving before the end of August.

Was able to test drive a one year old unit at the dealer today and noticed that when we went over a fairly big hump somewhere in Greenhills area, that the bottom of the car hit the hump a bit. Is the suspension really sprung a bit on the soft side?

Looking to rent Mazda 3 for one day in the Philippines

Hi,

I'm from Makati, Philippines.

I want to rent a Mazda 3 for just one day. I've checked all the rental ads I could find and as expected, the Mazda 3 is just too classy to be for rent.

But it's my better half's birthday and he's eye-ing a Mazda. Our budget is still a few months away, so I thought I'd rent one for a day as a gift.

Anyone who can help? Please text me at +63 917-854-4829.
