2 keys, 1 remote keyless control?

Hi Guys,

My first posting, and it's a not-so-happy one

Not too sure how many brothers are disturbed by this, but it seems the standard issue is 2 keys but only one keyless control. Owners are advised to PAY for the additional one, if required.

Tried asking SE, but she said after the hefty discounts she gave (which I believe she did), she no longer can throw in for me. In any case, even if she buys, it will be at normal list price.

After collecting $70K over from me, MM can't even include another $100 odd remote?

If other brothers are feeling the same frustration, maybe collectively we can ask MM to do something?

Not sure about where you live, but in NA, it comes with 2 keys and 2 remotes, and I'm sure it's the same everywhere.

Btw, welcum to the board and please put your location in your profile. Thanks :nsmile:

I absolutely agree with you Newbie! And I fully support the idea of getting together to ask for additional remotes. Furthermore, if other countries are getting 2 keys and 2 remotes, why should Singapore owners be the only one getting the short end of the stick?! :x

Maybe we should start a thread in Delphi Forum - there is also a lot of support there for M3 too!

Does all the owners right now have only one remote?

I personally find this is stupid. I purchase a 200+ alarm package they can provide 2 remotes ....Why can't Mazda

2 keys, 1 remote keyless control?

I need to improve on my reply frequency

I just found out from a colleague who use to own a Mazda, that it seems to be an MM practice to give 2 keys and 1 remote. Can anyone verify?

Hi des_k, Hyperstar and cya,

Good to know I'm not the only frustated one! We need more people to respond - strength in numbers! Hope to get around 10 responses. I'll start a thread at the Delphi Forum.

Hi leeto,

Actually I'm not to tell anyone, but ... let's just say there were fog lamps and cash rebates

Understand you guys do meet up. Appreciate if you can spread the word. Thanks!

2 keys, 1 remote keyless control?

Hi brothers, I have just sent an email to Philip, Marketing Manager of MM. It's below. Once I get a reply, I'll let you guys know.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi Philip,
Understand from the Mazda forum that you can reached at this email address.
My dad recently bought an M3, and we loved every inch of it. The thing that really disappointed us was when the keys were handed over - 2 keys, but only 1 remote. We were told that's standard issue.
Which begs the question: why is MM unable to provide another remote? I'm pretty sure the profits from the $78K+ that was collected from us should be sufficient to cover the $110 for an additional remote.
I'm sure MM has its reasons, and we really would like to hear them.
There are many guys at the forum who feel the same pain as us. Ideally, we would like to have the second remote FOC. However, if MM still needs to charge, we have a potentially large number of people who may need it. Considering the bulk order, I believe the cost should come down substantially.
Incidentally, I will be availing this email at the forum to keep the guys posted.
Thank you for your kind attention and I look forward to your prompt reply.
Cheers.
This is downright unfair
I got the same deal, 2 keys but only one remote. So basically, it's like you got the keys to your new flat, but only one key for the letterbox, where is the logic in that??
Precisely! Can't see the logic behind that.
Anyway, still no response yet ...
