I agree. There should be performance parts developed for the 1.6L. I also own a Mazda 3 1.6 A/T. I love everything about it except that I find it slow.

Install a twin turbo or a V-8.

are u being sarcastic? (seriously i can't tell) is there a twin turbo that i can install on the 1.6? i've had the worst luck tryin to find parts for my car...
it may be easier to make sure the car is light. clean the trunk, take our extra audio equipt like amp and sub. lose weight too and be healthier. it is always a question of power to weight ratio. i used to drive a 124hp saturn sl2 all stock and smoked a lot of civics that looked modded. i once beat a 5.o mustang in I-696 when i was working as homecare in michigan, but then again i knew where all the potholes were and he didn't. i was 24 yrs old then.
its a full package that adds a 6-12 HP which i'm not sure because each part is calmed to add 10-15hp... not a bad price tho, would just have to worry about shipping...
i can attest to speedlabs performance mods for 1.6 Mazda 3's
i currently have a CAI, Headers and Engine Torque Damper on my 1.6...very much satisfied with it, you will greatly notice the increase in power...now i'm saving for the Unichip....
hi guys,
im from malaysia.. im driving a m3 1.6 h/b.. where do u guys find 1.6l performance parts?? It's kindda hard for me to find the performance parts...
i own a mazda 3 in egypt. as far as performance i could only find the simota carbon fiber sri. it doesnt add much power... looking for a exhaust system and maybe headers
hi, im from panama.. and i could only install a cai with a k&n filter, but i would like to know if there are headers from the 2.0/2.3 that can fit the 1.6... like the vibrant

Thank you, man!!
Do you feel that you car more powerfull? Or did you do the Dino test?
It's definitely more powerful. Even in the low end torque, and my Fuel Comsumption has gained quite a bit. +1-1.5km/L I expect a bit more when I finally get the Unichip and dyno.
sorry to bring this old thread up, but does anyone know where i can get a more powerful alternator for the 1.6L version ? Thanks
