Here it goes.
Bought my Fusion SE 3 years ago. Didn't start doing any mods til last year. I'll have to update my page with correct timeline. Here it is in current form.
ok... apparently I can't post my pic like I wanted to... any Android users can help me out here... what is he trick to attaching a flippin photo. I click on manage attachments & get an error message.
Thanks! It's work in progress. Here's the updated list of mods -
Vogtland 1.8" springs
Magnaflow cat back
Steeda TB spacer
Steeda lower engine mount
HD front lip
Spec D projector headlamps
6K HID's low beams & foglamps
Switchback LED front turn bulbs, 6K
Smoked front markers
LED front & rear markers
LED tag lights
Painted grill bars, uppers & lowers
Debadged & Dechromed!
Looking good Khris! I hate chrome too, de-chroming is one of my first mods I do lol. I might give that Krylon for plastic a try this spring, you didn't use any clear coat?
How do you like the Vogtlands? What shocks/struts are you running?
I used 1000 grit sandpaper to scuff the surface; then 2 coats of matte black Krylon for plastic. I may have to scuff again & redo; getting a lot of chips in it. Has been over 2 years since I've painted them.
As far as the headlamps, I am pleased with them & the light output. I've got 6K switchbacks for the turns that match the halo rings & LEDs well. I'm running DDR 55watt HIDs in both low beams & my fog lamps. I've got them dialed in good for nighttime driving. Rarely will I get a flash from oncoming cars. Night & day difference over stock housings.
Just took this one against my garage door @ 15 feet away. Left side is 35 watt bulb, right side is 55 watt. Had a bulb go out, only had one on hand. Ordered 2 replacements that will match. I like the output, much better than the stockers. Anyone else on the group running HIDs in the Spec D housings?
I used screws instead of 3M. A little more work to install but I wanted to ensure it would stay.
I've hit some parking blocks already, holding up well 8 months now.
My bushings on my LCA's on my fox body did the same thing. I ended up putting a solid bushing in. Not good on the street, but it eats at the strip - LOL
